Announcing the first in our Jukely Sound Projects series, events for you by Jukely.
We’re pleased to announce a DJ Set performance by Madeon at Studio E, 1260 Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn on Feb. 27! We will also be joined by special guests. Slow Magic will perform before Madeon, and Mat Zo will take the decks after Madeon.
This show will be immediately following our MS MR show in the same location, and as a special treat, ticket holders for MS MR are welcome to attend the Madeon show.
Slow Magic Artist Bio:
After touring with artists like Gold Panda and XXYYXX, Slow Magic became an international movement. Crowds found a masked man in their midst, bathed in fantastic light, with electronic triggers and a drum. How To Run Away, Slow Magic’s debut with Downtown Records, reflects this growth, oozing both otherworldly beauty and a mastery of production. Slow Magic is music by your imaginary friend.
Madeon Artist Bio:
Hugo Pierre Leclercq, known by his stage name Madeon, is an electro house/pop producer from France. He gained popularity by means of his video “Pop Culture,” which was published to YouTube and subsequently received millions of hits in its first few days of broadcast on the Internet.
Leclercq started composing music at the age of 11. After winning a competition in late 2010 by remixing “The Island” by Pendulum, he went on to remix other electronic artists’ tracks the following year. Since then, he has skyrocketed in the EDM scene, and has played festivals such as Coachella (US), Lollapalooza (US), Transmusicale (France), Sonar (Spain), Wireless Festival (UK), Ultra (US), SonicMania (Japan) and many more.
Mat Zo Artist Bio:
English producer Matan Zohar, currently known as Mat Zo, is an electronic fusion artist, blending the sounds of drum n’bass, trance and electro. Creating catchy trance and progressive house, he released his first single, “Exodus”. It was during this same period that major trance producers Above & Beyond and Lange were praising his talents, and Zohar continued to issue stellar remixes and 12″ releases.
He soon found a home on the respected dance label Anjunabeats and issued several solo ventures and mixes through them. Zohar found himself in the mainstream music press in 2013 after will.i.am sampled his and producer Arty’s track “Rebound” without the duo’s permission on the song “Let’s Go.” When not producing euphoric trance, Zohar records drum’n’bass under the pseudonym MRSA on Hospital Records.
