Summer is finally here and VHS Collection is coming home. Born and raised in New York, the band consists of childhood friends James Bohannon, Conor Cook, and Nils Vanderlip. The three of them came together and originally formed the band in high school. Blending influences from rock, electronic, and disco, the band is most known for their groovy beats and mid-summer sunset vibe synth lines.
In the past year, VHS Collection has performed at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Okeechobee in addition to sold out shows across the country, notably at Bowery Ballroom in early 2017. With two successful independently released EPs under their belt, VHS has released two new singles “Wide Awake” and “So I Met Someone” leading up to their debut album coming later this year.
For those who enjoy bands like St. Lucia, Empire of the Sun, Portugal. The Man, this is a show you NEED to check out. Join VHS Collection for their big hometown show at Music Hall of Williamsburg and dance your night away!
