Ruby Skye, one of San Francisco’s most notable nightclubs, is closing. The space will be totally revamped into the new August Hall, opening later in the year. Before you have to say good-bye, however, Ruby Skye invites you to attend Last Call with Chuckie on Saturday, June 10th.
For the past 17 years, Ruby Skye has been a place where locals as well as visitors to downtown San Francisco area have come to dance the night away while seeing their favorite DJs. Earlier in the year, Four Over Four spoke to Ruby Skye’s talent buyer, Matthew Whitlock, who told us, “The most rewarding aspect of my job is booking these acts I have grown up all my life listening to. I would have never imagined that I would be booking people like Eric Prydz, Benny Benassi, Laidback Luke, etc.”
June 10th brings yet another incredible artist to the club, as Dutch producer Chuckie takes the stage. With his unique fusion of house music, hip-hop beats, and Latin rhythms, Last Call with Chuckie is sure to be a dance party to remember. Whether you’ve been a loyal Ruby Skye attendee every weekend and wish to give it a proper send-off, or you’ve never been but wish to experience it while you still have the chance, June 10th is the night to do it.
Although the closing of Ruby Skye will certainly disappoint dance music lovers and club-goers, the end of one era means the beginning of another. In late 2017, the venue will reopen as August Hall, featuring live bands, comedians, and even a bowling alley.
