Though there are numerous exciting festivals right around the corner, Bass Coast Festival is an event you do not want to miss.
Originally founded in 2009 by artists Andrea Graham and Liz Thomson, Bass Coast is an independently operated camping festival that has played an integral role in the community of emerging electronic artists and beyond.
The two women began the unique endeavor without any type of corporate or sponsorship backing.
Over the years, the festival has gained notoriety for its breathtaking views. Its site is located in the city of Merritt right in British Columbia’s Nicola Valley.
Attracting attendees from across the globe, Bass Coast has become a home to electronic fans; where they come together and celebrate their love of music.
In an effort to ensure attendees have the best experience possible (including ample space for dancing), Bass Coast’s founders have capped attendance at about 3,000.
This year’s ninth edition of Bass Coast will be space themed, so festival attendees are in for a treat!
As of now, only the first phase of the lineup has been announced, but it already includes recognizable names like J. Phlip, Justin Martin, Roman Flugel, Smalltown DJ’s, and Sango to name a few.
One of the list’s highlights is a DJ known as The Librarian a.k.a. Bass Coast co-founder Andrea Graham, so if you’ll be attending be sure to check out her set.
The festival is set to take place the weekend of July 7th and last through July 10th.
According to the website, tickets have officially sold out. However, it might be worth exploring options like Stubhub or even the event’s official Facebook group.
Bass Coast will also be doing its annual Mutiny Tour with stops in Edmonton, Calgary, Nelson, Denver, and Seattle so keep an eye out for announcements as these dates are coming up in the next few weeks.
