Childish Gambino – Awaken, My Love
FOR THOSE WHO: know they need some type of soulful R&B in their life, but don’t know where to turn. Allow Childish Gambino to completely blow your mind with his powerful vocals, strong message, funk and groove infused productions.
Deadmau5 – W:/2016ALBUM/
FOR THOSE WHO: need some type of sonic reassurement that not all hope is lost, we can still put our faith in Deadmau5 and not be disppointed.
Peter Doherty – Hamburg Demonstrations
FOR THOSE WHO: need that avant-classical meets Brit-punk fusion sound to sooth their heads. Long live The Libertines, amirite? We haven’t seen the last of Pete, and this album is here to show us that they may very well be a good thing.
Hamilton – The Hamilton Mixtape
FOR THOSE WHO: don’t know where else to turn once you’ve memorized the entirety of the play, seen it via shitty cam footage online because tickets are still an arm and a leg, and need to immerse yourselves entirely.
Burial – “Young Death / Nightmarket” EP
FOR THOSE WHO: like the dark, ominous, enigmatic nature of minimal electronic and want to …bury…themselves in a true masters work.
RKCB – In Contrast
FOR THOSE WHO: like their pop vocals with a darker, eerie tint.
Telefon Tel Aviv – Fahrenheit Fair Enough
FOR THOSE WHO: take long car drives, subway rides, likes walks in the rain alone at midnight to clear the head a bit. This album is a pure amalgam of samples, sounds, and dream-like noises that is guaranteed to bring out the deepest thoughts.
College – Old Tapes
FOR THOSE WHO: need a kick of inspiration, and like the simplicity of a couples of chords that, when played with correctly, can be turned into a wild musical masterpiece.
