A luxury concert venue is coming to DC?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: City Winery is expanding, and if you’ve had the chance to see a show at any of their other locations in New York, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, or Boston, you know exactly why.
The outfit’s sixth venue will be located in northeast of Washington, and if you’re not familiar with the City Winery brand, get ready for a true luxury concert experience. There are not a lot of venues out there that you can see some of your favorite bands while sipping on a nice bottle of wine. And I’m not talking about ordering a dusty house wine that the bartender judges you about when you order it, I’m talking delicious wines made on site.
Are you a foodie? Prepare your taste buds because they’ve got you completely covered. They tout their food as “wine inspired, regionally influenced, locally sourced.” Which means you’re getting food you already love, from the DC region, that’s fresher than most. And of course, there’s the music. The new City Winery DC’s 40,000 square foot space will feature a 320-seat performance area and they hope to offer around 300 shows a year. And the shows will be across the board, from rock, to jazz, to blues, to pop.
