BOYS NOIZE is back with MAYDAY, his most dynamic album to date. Infectiously energetic, fusing the energy and spirit of punk with the raw power of modern techno and the early days of rave, MAYDAY exists as a new expression entirely, transporting the innocence of a bygone era into the here and now without ever sounding anachronistic or nostalgic. The album includes tracks featuring Lil Internet, Remy Banks, and, a track one of our bands of the hour, POLIÇA. Boys Noize’s performance at Jukely Sound Projects will be the debut of his live show in New York. HEALTH from the DIY noise scene in LA, HEALTH fuses bursts of electronic noise with highly danceable rhythms to create a dissonant yet accessible brand of art-damaged pop. They first gained notoriety through Crystal Castle’s remix of their song “Crimewave” in August 2007.
POLIÇA (duo) is an American synthpop and alternative rock band from Minneapolis founded in 2011 by Ryan Olson (production) and Channy Leaneagh (vocals/synth).
Venus X is an upbeat, energetic and chaotic pop producer and DJ, and M.I.A. collaborator, who made her name playing the GHE20GOTH1K shows in NYC.
