Printworks has been working on its campus for a while now, with several former printing buildings in East London it purchased a few years ago. The first venue, a 6,000 capacity room, opened last year to rave reviews. This slightly smaller one is their next venture with sound and lighting being taken care of by Broadwick Live (the group behind such festivals as Snowbombing, Field Day, and Festival No. 6.) and other collaborations with an external team.
Currently, the yet-to-be-named venue has plans to host live music shows during the weekdays and massive dance parties being reserved for the weekends (with Fridays split between electronic and live music).
It’s great to see a new venue splitting the difference between genres and expanding the musical footprint for London. We’re looking forward to seeing the final results in this one.
