The Hideout is a small venue. Over a hundred years ago, it was built in two days as a balloon-frame structure. Where once it served up illegal drinks during the Prohibition era, the venue became a legal spot in 1936 when it earned the name, The Hideout. Today, The Hideout hosts performances by musicians, artists, poets, comedians, and more. Whatever it is that brings you to The Hideout, you’re sure to have a great time as you revel in the long history of the venue.
More than just a music venue, Thalia Hall is also a designated historic landmark. Built in 1892, the hall’s ornate interior was inspired by the Prague opera house. After the hall closed in the 1960s, it remained mostly vacant until 2013 when new owners Bruce Finkelman and Craig Golden stepped in to turn it into the live music venue it is today.
Electronic artist Squarepusher is bring his live band Shobaleader One to Thalia Hall on July 2nd. Get in with Jukely!
Empty Bottle started out as a hole-in-the-wall dive bar in 1992. Since then, they have moved to a bit larger space and have become known for their can’t-miss live shows where anything goes. The venue still has that grungy dive bar feel with cheap drinks and good times to be had by all. Chat up one of the regulars and see what this place is all about.
Want to check out something a little different this weekend? See Tonstartssbandht on Friday, June 30th. This psychedelic indie rock duo is exactly the type of show you go to the Empty Bottle for.
