Swedish pop sensation Tove Styrke is back! Since releasing her US debut album Kiddo in 2015, she’s gone on a full North American headline tour and joined Years & Years on their UK tour as well. Styrke’s music has no boundaries, her music isn’t just pop; it’s indie, it’s fun, it’s emotional, and it’s different.
Today, she released her brand new single “Say My Name.” This song perfectly showcases Styrke’s growth as a singer and a person. As she describes it:
“There’s a reason why so much music is about sex and love. It is linked to one’s worst and best experiences. I have not written about love before because I didn’t want to write another love song. But I have changed. I am tired of being angry, right now I just need to make music that makes me feel good.”
The coming year looks like a big year for this rising star. I look forward to hearing what she’s been working on.
