Phoebe Ryan shared a few things with Four Over Four on her creative process as a songwriter and her up coming tour with Tove Lo.

Pheobe Ryan’s newest single, ‘Dark Side’, was released today. Listen here:

Relocating to LA and touring frequently, what do you miss the most about your hometown in New Jersey?

I miss my family the most… but of course also my best friends, favorite beaches, and being surrounded by all of the things that remind of growing up.

The mashup of Ignition/Do You… was a massive success. Do you see yourself creating another cover and if so which song?

I have one in the works but I feel like it’s too early to say anything… it will be really awesome though, I promise.

You and Tove Lo have performed together in the past and going on tour in 2017, what are you looking forward to the most?

I’m super excited about playing new songs, seriously can’t wait for people to hear them. My first show with her was one of my first in NYC and I was so nervous. This time I’m ready to rock, melt faces off, etc.

Can we expect a possible collaboration in the future?

In the words of Michael Scott from The Office… “that would be sublime.”

Speaking of collaborations, how was working with the Chainsmokers on such an emotional record?

They’re really cool people and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it all. I think the song showcases a different side of them in such an emotionally effective way.

Name one thing you do to “reset” your creative flow when writing songs?

It’s funny because I’m actually on a break from writing. I wrote almost every day for months, now I’m focusing on on other things. I’ve been hiking, reading, kickboxing, and hanging out with my parakeet. Mostly just trying to prepare myself for the tour and what’s to come in 2017!

Is there an album on the horizon?

Who knows what’s to come in 2017!

Is there anything you’d like to say directly to our readers?

LADYWOOD TOUR 2017 – SEE YOU THERE !! <3 xoxox
